This component is intended for displaying texture text with animated effects, with any embeded fonts.
It is recommended that you use wider spreaded fonts to reveal more of your textures.
You can use any number of instances of the application inside an HTML page as you like – just follow the example given in the HTML file

that comes with the download.

How to embed a new font into a SWF :

1) Open a new .fla document and the Library panel (CTRL+L).

2) Right click inside the Library > Choose New Font.

3) Select your font, and then select ‘Export to Actionscript’ and ‘Export in frame 1’.

4) Give your font a class name which you will use in settings.xml in the ‘ ’ tag.

5) Compile (CTRL+ENTER), than name your file and add that name to the settings.xml in the ‘ ’ tag.

This is a simple effect to animate your lines of texts. You can also use it as an intro to your movie by adding a “Skip Intro” button.

Everything is properly named in the FLA file. Action Script and XML file are well-commented.

XML SETTINGS

These settings can be set globally for every line of text
1. showdelay – delay to perform before showing each line of text
2. staycount – time for which each text line should stay
3. color – color of the text
4. rollovercolor – color of the text when mouse moves over
5. traillength – length of the trails
6. chardelay – delay to perform before showing each character
7. traildistance – distance of trails
8. rotation – rotation for the characters
9. rotationstop – time when the rotation should stop
10. textsize – text size
11. chargap – gap between the characters
12. wordspace – gap between the words

These settings can be applied separately to each different text line
1. color – color of the text
2. rollovercolor – color of the text when mouse moves over
3. traillength – length of the trails
4. chardelay – delay to perform before showing each character
5. traildistance – distance of trails
6. rotation – rotation for the characters
7. rotationstop – time when the rotation should stop
8. textsize – text size

There can be two things.
1. You can animate a number of words together to make it appear like an introduction to your movie. For this, the words are loaded from an external xml file and the symbol name is “words”.
2. You can make any of your word appear with this effect by using the symbol “word” and giving it a word you want… wordmoviename.word = “ACTIVEDEN”; and also applying the settings too.

If you use the “words” symbol then the space for showing the words gets resized automatically as soon as you resize the Stage of the flash movie.

You can also try changing the font style in the “char” symbol, and also the motion of character using the “character” symbol.

THIS IS AN “XML” DRIVEN AUTO SCROLLING TEXT EFFECT Especially For Your Banners.

XML File is very easy to update, simply write your text to XML file and let it scroll…

You will need flash cs4 or higher only if you want to change the background…

Here are the values you can change through XML , without opening Flash…:

1-)You have four options for alignment of your text: “left”, “right”, “center”, & “justify”.

2-)You can easily adjust whole textField’s “textColor”, “textSize”, and “textFieldWidth” values.

3-)You can set textField’s “textScrollDuration” to fine tune your scrolling animation’s duration.

4-)The speed of “Fade-out” effect of your text, and the speed of textScrolling is also adjustable through XML …

5-)RotationX (3D x-axes angle) value of the textField is alterable with ease…

6-)Of course, you can have a link too.Just write it down to XML File, Or you can simply switch it off…

7-)And finally you can use “CDATA” tags to format text severally with some basic HTML properties.

Backlight intro performs high quality, realtime visuals with just a fraction of the size needed by a prerendered flv showing the same effect.

Just edit a simple external xml configuration file to add your images / titles / soundtrack and set desidered timings.

Assets don’t need to be fully loaded for playback to start as this intro behaves like an ordinary progressive video:

• it buffers a small amount of data, then playback starts
• remaining data is loaded in background while intro is running
• in case of a slow connection, it can pause and resume playback once the buffer is filled again.

Flash IDE is not required: only external assets are used for XML configuration, images, soundtrack and fonts.
There’s no limit on intro duration or text/images, all timings are customizable and compensated to keep A/V sync.
